Read why did the PM Narendra Modi Biopic Banned till 2019 Lok Sabha Elections by the Election Commission Of India.
The first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections is going to start on Thursday.
The Supreme Court dismissed a petition filed by one of the Congress activist members on Tuesday seeking on the release of the biopic and suggested that the Election Commission would be the right place to seek for the answer or redressal.
The order from the Election Commission of India came just before one day from the release of the biopic of PM Narendra Modi for the temporary hold till the election polls.
As we all know by now that within a month and a half, the 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be over and a new government will be formed. Due to the release of the upcoming biopic of PM Narendra Modi, already a lot of buzzes have been created around the country as PM Narendra Modi Biopic is Banned till 2019 Lok Sabha Elections by the Election Commission of India.
The movie has already faced many hurdles and problems but after successfully resolving all the issues, the movie was set to launch on 12th April 2019. But from a recent update by the ECI or the Election commission of India has issued a notice to hold the release date of the biopic with a temporary ban until the 2019 Lok Sabha election results are out. The reason behind to ban a movie right before its launch has created a lot of controversies and set back to the country as well as the makers. It is said by the ECI that the movie is put on hold as it is a biopic of one of the leaders and an active contestant of the Lok Sabha elections. Just because the movie is a biopic and about the active politics in India, it can create a negative impact in the elections as well as a violation of a Moral Code of Conduct hence the temporary ban was issued.
It is being said by many that the release of the biopic is nothing but a political strategy just to “Manipulate, Influence & Impress” the voters right before the elections and to grow followers of the Modi government by releasing it. It is a very thoughtful decision made by the makers as they are the ones responsible for deciding the release date and clearly it is seen the motive behind the launch of the biopic and how it can impact in the upcoming elections. Due to the timing of the release, the ECI has put a temporary hold and that the hold will be lifted after the results are out. This created a huge setback to all including the makers as well as the people of the country due to the buzz it created.
